The second home is a 1995 Golden West manufactured home that is 27’x56’ making it about 1500 sq. ft..  It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a family room, a living room, dining area and a kitchen with an electric range and refrigerator.  Off the kitchen is a utility room for a washer and dryer.  Vaulted ceilings.  The master bedroom has its own bath, and walk-in closet.  The carpet in the bedrooms is new and the living/family/dining rooms have a fairly new laminate wood floor.  Heating and cooling is by using a heat pump.  There is a raised deck that overlooks a large, private lawn, the pond, and a neighboring grassy hillside.  A carport and covered ramp allow dry access during rainy weather.  This 2nd home, has been well maintained and is quite pleasant and livable.

The shop is 40’x48’ with a concrete floor.  The center is a sizable area with a large overhead door, making it suitable for many kinds of projects. There is a storage room, pump room and a workshop room.  A portion is open on one side for firewood storage and the wood furnace.  There is an additional upper room that can be used several ways.  It has a toilet room with a sink.  Off to one side is parking space for a motor home with water, sewer and electric hook-ups.  A shed attached to the back side can be used for storing 4-wheelers, bikes etc.

A seasonal creek passes through the NW corner of the property forming a pond just behind the main house.  The pond is up to nine feet deep and will drop about 1½ feet during the summer before it is replenished in the fall.  The pond is completely on the property with the opposite side left for the wildlife.  It is home to newts, frogs, bluegill and bass.  A variety of ducks (wood ducks are our favorites) frequently visit and we've seen geese, herons, hawks, osprey, cormorants and kingfishers all coming to enjoy the pond.  We’ve watched deer, raccoons, rabbits, wild turkeys and other fauna using the wild areas.

There is a large garden area which provides a bounty of food.   Several fruit trees dot the grounds (4 kinds of cherries, 3 kinds of apples, 4 kinds of pears and 4 kinds of plums).  A grape arbor with Thompson seedless and red seedless grapes and a mini grape vineyard with concords provide part of the annual harvest.  We also harvest strawberries, blueberries, boysenberries, raspberries and blackberries every year.  There are ornamental bushes and colorful flowers all around the houses.  Such a delight to just walk around the houses to see what is growing up or blooming at that time.
